I've never traveled outside of the United States with intention on staying longer than 2 weeks. Now, I've gotta pack for 4 months. Clothes..I'm having trouble with clothes. I mix and match outfits so much..it's hard not to take every little item I stumble upon in the back of my drawers and closet.
My method: I've washed about 5 loads of laundry and everything that still fits me has been dumped into the 29" rolling suitcase. I will now sort through what I've dumped, and discard everything that I haven't worn in the past 2 weeks. Ughh..that..will not be exciting. But, I'm doing it now. I am.
I am sooo incredibly stoked to set foot in Buenos Aires on Saturday morning. When I really start to think of the joy that'll come over me, I care less and less about what outfits I'll wear throughout the week. Buenos Aires, Argentina. Buenos Aires...a city so full of magnificent expression! And I'll be able to explore every inch of it soon enough.
Night Before
Tomorrow is the big day eeeek! I've printed every travel document, copied my passport about 10 times and even gotten a background check done by my local police department. In one day, I finished up travel preparations that'll impact the rest of my life. hehe yippeee! I do hope that nothing is forgotten...nothing truly important. But I've double and triple checked every compartment on my suitcase. I've highlighted all over almost 5 different packing lists. I think I'm good. Besides, I know my iPod's in my purse. That's all that really matters.
Tomorrow evening I will depart from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport..play a bit of trivia, watch a movie or 4, eat tons of airplane snackage, snooooze..and by daybreak arrive at Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza "Ministro Pistarini". See ya in the barrio of Belgrano, northern BA.
